We were lucky with the timing of our 2nd General Assembly (having already postponed it from summer to fall), so that at least a large part of our 22 partner strong consortium could meet live despite the global pandemic (the rest were digitally connected). We were then able to combine the General Assembly directly with a visit to our Danish demonstration facility at Aarhus University in Foulum.
Our host CBIO showed us all three aspects of the Danish demo: i. Field trials, ii. the green biorefinery (technical facilities) and iii. animal testing. We also had time to share progress and strategize on how to move forward with the project. Finally, we were even able to visit a commercial biorefinery (Ausumgaard) to get a small preview of the future replication potential of the Danish demo.
