Catch up with the webinar series organised by the EU-funded BIO4PRODUCTS project to follow the path from biomass to bio-based products!
Since September 2016, the BIO4PRODUCTS project is developing
a two-step conversion method to transform a range of agricultural feedstocks,
including straw, bark, forest residues and sunflower husks into bio-based chemicals.
To achieve this objective, the project has been testing the feasibility of a
fast pyrolysis based biorefinery concept.
From September 2019 to February 2020, project partners
presented their main results in a series of three webinars, focusing on
the different steps of the process.
Webinars featured the work of innovative companies and research
centres, with the first webinar including for instance a presentation focusing
on lignocellulosic biomass production of the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural
engineering and Bioeconomy, coordinator of the GO-GRASS project, represented by
Sonja Germer.
